MicroPilot Launches Two New UAV Integrated Autopilots MP2x28/2128LRC
July 19, 2006
MicroPilot has recently developed two new UAV autopilot packages, the MP2x28LRC/MP2128LRC. (MP2x28LRC features the MP2028g autopilot while the MP2128LRC features MicroPilot’s MP2128g autopilot.) Each product represents an avionics suite designed to dramatically enhance reliability and integration for the UAV operator. The LRC integrated autopilots are convenient with multiple control modes, improved emergency response and ultimate communication and control range.
The MP2x28LRC and MP2128LRC also offer enhanced reliability through greater distance and flexibility. “LRC” stands for “long range communication,” which refers to their redundant, long-range data communication link. LRC products feature a ground unit using standard, off-the-shelf radio modems. RC control information rides on both the existing GCS datalink and a second redundant datalink, which reduces possible failure modes. The MP2x28LRC and MP2128LRC are the miniature autopilots of choice for UAV operators who need a reliable, integrated system that performs in all scenarios.
The LRC features trusted MicroPilot components including HORIZONmp ground control software, advanced servo technology, versatile navigation capabilities and a powerful control system. MicroPilot is the world’s leading manufacturer of miniature autopilots for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and micro aerial vehicles (MAV). We serve over 350 UAV integrators in 49 countries.
