InnUVative Systems to Integrate MicroPilot Autopilot into STANAG 4586-compliant 4CE Control Station
November 1, 2010 - MONTREAL, QUEBEC – InnUVative Systems, Inc. and MicroPilot today announced at the Unmanned Systems Conference in Montreal that the MicroPilot autopilot will be integrated into InnUVative Systems’ 4CE Control Station. This integration will allow any platform utilizing the MicroPilot autopilot to utilize the advanced, multi domain STANAG 4586-compliant control station to meet interoperability objectives with other unmanned systems.
“I am very pleased that we are able to move forward with integrating such a capable and well regarded autopilot solution,” said Mike Meakin, President of InnUVative Systems. “The combination of the MicroPilot autopilot with InnUVative Systems’ 4CE Control Station offers a powerful, interoperable, portable and intuitive solution for all unmanned vehicle developers. The existing customers of MicroPilot can now easily integrate the 4CE Control station to greatly increase their own system capabilities and their competitiveness. Especially with our support of the Joint Architecture for Unmanned Systems (JAUS), use of the 4CE Control Station will allow MicroPilot users to leverage cross domain support to increase the capability of their existing systems.”
“Stanag 4586 compliancy is something we wanted to add to our platforms. Working with Mike Meakin and his team, who have a core competency in that field, will allow MicroPilot to come to market with a robust and 100% Canadian solution.” stated Howard Loewen, President of MicroPilot. Loewen also added this integration also fits in with the upcoming introduction of the g2 family of MicroPilot autopilots.
The integration of MicroPilot into the 4CE Control Station will be completed by April 2011.
