October 6, 2008 MicroPilot is proud to announce their association with PROTOTYPE THIS, an all-new Discovery Channel series. PROTOTYPE THIS brings viewers straight to the drawing board and through the design process to experience firsthand as inventions come to life. The series features a team of expert engineers who work each week to come up with one-of-a-kind prototypes of tomorrow for people to experience today. MicroPilot was involved in the show by providing a MP2028 miniature autopilot, along with autopilot integration. Howard Loewen, President of MicroPilot stated, "It was a very ambitious project under a very tight deadline. Congratulations to our MicroPilot technical team and the talented crew at ProtoType This! MicroPilot enjoyed being part of the team and we really hope that you enjoy watching." The premiere air date for the series is Wednesday October 15th at 10:00 pm (Eastern / Pacific). The "Flying Lifeguard" episode featuring a UAV with a MicroPilot autopilot will air mid- December.
