MicroPilot's Facilities

MicroPilot’s flight test facility is surrounded by flat farmland as far as the eye can see, and yet we are still only 30 minutes from a major international airport in Winnipeg, Canada. This allows us to give you a testing location that offers the isolation, space, and flexibility you need, without creating prohibitive travel expenses for your team. The facility is staffed with several permanent flight-support personnel, and we can fly approximately 300 days out of the year. The ambient temperature at our facility can vary from -40°C (40° below 0°F) in the winter to 35°C (95°F) in the summer, and we encounter an equally varied set of wind conditions, so just about anything your UAV encounters elsewhere is available for testing here. This facility operates under a Transport Canada Special Flight Operations Certificate and is available to all our key clients.
