MicroPilot launches HORIZONINSIGHT, a new online service for MicroPilot customers to track and manage support resources for their customer base more easily than ever.
December 1, 2018 – Stony Mountain, Canada – MicroPilot is pleased to announce that its new online service, HORIZONINSIGHT, has now gone live. This new service enables UAV manufacturers to manage their customer base and manage files collected by HORIZONCLOUD.
HORIZONINSIGHT allows a variety of files to be linked to flight logs and enables these files to be organized by customer, making administrative work easier.
“Managing customers is a complicated task for any UAV manufacturer.” Says Howard Loewen, President of MicroPilot. “HORIZONINSIGHT represents the first customer tracking system, designed to aviation standards, that meets the needs of UAV manufacturers.”
HORIZONINSIGHT provides download management as one means of customer tracking. Downloads can be made country and customer specific according to specific needs. This is useful when providing documents in other languages or in conventions more suitable for that region. The download history can be tracked to see who downloaded what file and which version.
HORIZONINSIGHT’s built-in notification system allows notifications to be sent to a UAV manufacturer’s customers based on general account selection or download history. For example, sending a notification to all users who downloaded a particular file.
HORIZONINSIGHT provides other services UAV manufacturers need to manage their customer base. This includes managing export permits, support and service contracts; and collecting customer satisfaction information. In addition, HORIZONINSIGHT tracks the service history of each UAV in order to help satisfy regulators.
There is much a web platform can provide in terms of remote access to data and communication with external devices and MicroPilot wants to leverage that advantage in the future to provide even more features and services to customers.
